Setting the List Price?

If you’re a home seller in Pennsylvania, one of the most important questions you can ask is how listing price is determined.

In this video, you’ll learn the following:

  • WHO actually sets the listing price—and why it’s not your agent
  • The importance of pricing competitively to attract buyers and maximize value
  • How a real estate pro can guide you—but why the final decision is yours

TRUTH OR MYTH?

As a home seller in Pennsylvania, a common question I get is how is the listing price determined in PA?

If you’re considering selling your home in Pennsylvania, it’s common to think that the listing price is set by the listing agent, but this is not the case.

WHY LIST PRICE IS IMPORTANT

The listing price is one of the most important aspects to selling a home so you want to make sure that it’s competitively priced. This will ensure that you’re getting the best price for your home with the given home market.

And if you’re working with a real estate professional, they should have the expertise and be using the relevant data to guide you to a good number. But of course, this is just guidance and ultimately, as a seller you would be setting the listing price since it’s your home and your decision.

YOU SET YOUR OWN LIST PRICE

You can stay rest assured that you can and should set your own list price when it comes to your own home. I hope that answers this question. Let me know if it doesn't!

But what happens when you finally list and have multiple offers, find out if you can accept multiple offers.
